Thank you and adios!

It’s been an emotional week.

Whilst delivering some of my final classes, it has dawned on me that I will be very sad to leave this lovely place. The school and our mentors have been so welcoming and caring—always going above and beyond to make sure we feel comfortable and included. They also know some good tapas places 😉. The highlight of this experience has been the incredible kindness and wisdom of the people I have met and worked alongside.

Some of my other highlights from this experience include seeing a classroom of seven-year-olds playing hide and seek (practising ‘Where is the..?’ target language), miming in front of a classroom of ten-year-
olds (present continuous) and working my way through some tricky (!) grammar points to prepare students for the Cambridge First Exam.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has made my participation in this programme possible: UKLC, Salesianos school and staff, the children who welcomed me into their school and, of course, my Erasmus programme buddies. Our dinners (with obligatory tea!) have been wonderful.

Thank you again,

Harry
